ASPEN MOMENTS · CAFÉ GUIDE
Aspen's coffee scene has grown up: a coffeehouse inside a historic hotel, a Milanese espresso bar off the mall, a café on the Art Museum's roof, and bakeries locals have lined up at for decades. Here's where we'd go first — for a quick coffee before the lifts or a slow breakfast on a day off.

On the corner of Galena and Cooper for decades — locals simply call it Paradise Corner. Cookies and muffins are baked from scratch every day, there's a long case of gelato and sorbetto, and it stays open into the evening, so it doubles as the after-dinner stop downtown.

Practical Tips
In ski season the lines peak in the hour before the lifts open — go early, or after 10. Many places shorten their hours in the off-seasons (mid-April through May, and October until Thanksgiving), so check before you go.
Staying in Snowmass? Fuel is on the Village Mall, and the free RFTA bus gets you to downtown Aspen's cafés in about 20 minutes.
